Membership

Joining C.C.A.

Admission to Crestmoor is based on our annual membership process as detailed in the rules and by laws. Each year, new members are invited to join based on availability and a series of preference criteria. To be considered, prospective members must be sponsored by two current CCA members in good standing — one primary and one secondary sponsor.

Due to the popularity of the club, Crestmoor currently has an extensive waitlist, and it may take several years for new applicants to be offered membership.

Please note that applications submitted with out proper qualification will be disregarded, and that cashing of the check mailed to our book keeper is not a confirmation of membership submission. More details and criteria are located in this Membership Criteria and FAQ blog post.

Application Process

The membership application is available as an online form, to be submitted by the primary sponsor. The process requires:

  • Biographical information about the applicant and their family
  • Personal statements from both sponsors
  • Documentation of Crestmoor Filing I or II residency (if applicable)
  • Proof of homeownership and residency (for preference applicants)
  • Submission by October 31 for the following year’s consideration

Preference Categories

Because membership openings are limited (based on annual resignations or conversions to senior status), preference is given in the following order:

  • Reinstatements (former members reapplying within 5 years)
  • Children of Members
  • Residents of Crestmoor Filings I & II
  • Greater Metro Denver applicants

Note: Applicants from outside the preference categories may face longer wait times as our membership is capped at 375 families. The current non-preference group wait time is in excess of 20 years.

Sponsor Responsibilities

Sponsors play a key role in the application process. The primary sponsor must:

  • Have personally known the applicant for at least one year
  • Submit the application form
  • Help host the New Member Gathering and assist with orientation
  • Verify applicant documentation for accuracy

Applicants may not submit their own applications; only the primary sponsor can do so.
