Synchronized Swimming
Where creativity meets confidence — and friendships last a lifetime.
Crestmoor’s Synchronized Swimming is more than just a summer activity — it’s a celebration of grace, teamwork, and expression in the water. Open to swimmers of all levels, this beloved program teaches athletes to perform choreographed routines with confidence, coordination, and style.
Whether your child is new to synchronized swimming or a returning performer, they’ll be welcomed into a supportive environment where hard work and creativity shine.
Team activities and communications are managed through the TeamSnap App.

Who Can Join?
No prior synchronized swimming experience is required. All swimmers are welcome as long as they are comfortable and safe in the water.
Our coaches teach synchronized movement, timing, and routine-building — making it a fun, rewarding learning experience for both new and returning participants.
Age Groups
Synchronized swimmers are grouped by age, with experience-based placement for first-timers:
- Novice – First-time synchronized swimmers
- 9 & Under
- 10–11
- 12–13
- 14–15
- 16–19
Age is determined by the swimmer’s age on December 31.
Practice, Performances & Required Attire
- Practices are held multiple times per week in the afternoons
- Swimmers build and rehearse choreographed group routines
- There are 2 types of meets — a “figures meet” and “finals.” Swimmers must compete in at least 1 figures meet to be eligible for finals.
- The competitive season ends with finals. The Water Show is an in-house event where the swimmers get to perform for the membership in a festive environment.
- Final performance week includes additional themed activities and recognition events.
Required Attire
For all figures meets, participants must wear:
- An all-black one-piece swimsuit
- A white swim cap
These standard colors ensure a cohesive and professional look during routines.
Secret Swimmer Program
To build connection and boost morale, Crestmoor Synchro includes a cherished team tradition: Secret Swimmer.
Here’s how it works:
- Names are drawn before Finals Week — each swimmer is assigned a secret teammate.
- On the Monday before finals, swimmers bring a card signed “from your secret swimmer.”
- On Finals Day 1, they deliver another card + their swimmer’s favorite (non-melting) candy.
- On Finals Day 2, swimmers bring a small gift (max $10) and personally reveal their identity.
Parents are encouraged to help keep the “secret” a surprise throughout the week!
What Makes Synchronized Swimming at CCA Special?
“My name is Cipher Lowdermilk and I have been doing synchronized swimming with CCA since I was 5, making this my 11th year on the team. I am so grateful to my younger self for joining this team and never giving up as it has shaped who I am as a person. I grew up knowing that I would have a place to belong outside of school, and a team that I could rely on. I am only 16 years old now, but I know that some of the friends I have met through synchronized swimming will be my friends forever. Having something to do over the summer is not only fun, but very rewarding, especially seeing how my teammates and I have grown throughout the years. I will be coaching this summer and I cannot wait to work with the younger team members and watching them grow. The sport is truly not reliant on where you start, but rather where you go and the people that you find.”
